![]() These are reading (comprehension), Mathematical literacy and overall boys achievement compared to girls at the school. However, there are some trends that are specific to our school that need attention. When you also consider that many of our students also do not have much formal Early Years education when they enter grade 1 then this is not unexpected. This is no surprise as we compare ourselves to schools with much larger native English speaking populations. Generally when we compare ourselves with other international schools the attainment gap is quite wide at grade 3 then narrows over time by grade 8. ISA results: We will be contacting individual families to discuss the results of the ISA s over the next month. There are constant complaints that the same small minority of parents dominate the time of teachers on these days. If there is a need for a longer meeting to take place, please request this and a suitable appointment can be made to do so. During the meeting the teachers will explain the student s progress and you can ask for further advice on how to help your child. ![]() Following feedback for the need for extra time, these will take place from 2:00-5:00pm. ![]() Reports: Baku-Oxford School Winter Newsletter Academic Year Please note that the first semester full reports will be issued on Friday the 1 st of February and that the parent-teacher meetings are scheduled for Monday 4 th of February.
